Aaron Cedric Edmond Announces Candidacy for the Prince William County Board of Supervisors, Occoquan District.
Occoquan VA- Aaron Cedric Edmond, a U.S. Navy Reservist and Senior Executive Assistant at Vista Technology Services Inc., announces his candidacy for the Prince William County Board of Supervisors, Occoquan District.
Aaron was born in New Jersey where three strong women; his Great Grandmother, Grandmother, and Great Aunt, taught him the values of good character, accountability, respect for others, hard work and most importantly knowing right from wrong. These remarkable women stepped in to fill the gap and if he summed up the meaning of what they taught him it would be “do all the good you can, for all the people you can, in all the ways that you can, as long as you can.” The strength that they instilled in him and the value in serving others has motivated him and defined his life’s purpose.
As an Eagle Scout he has served his community, as an Enlisted Petty Officer, he served his country, and as the next Occoquan District Supervisor he wants to serve the residents of the Occoquan District. Aaron is a member of the Occoquan District Democratic Committee (Former Vice-Chair), The Rotary Club of Lake Ridge, NAACP (Prince William Area Branch), PWCDC Ad-Hoc Schools Committee (Chair), Equality Prince William, The Prince William County National Organization for Women, The Prince William Conservation Alliance, Equality Virginia, Human Rights Campaign, and the National Eagle Scout Association. Aaron is a recent Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership (UVA), 2018 Political Leaders Program Graduate. Aaron is also a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church (Pastor Clyde Ellis) located in Woodbridge, VA.
Aaron said “The Occoquan District needs a fighter and I want to be that fighter that works hard for his constituents every single day! In the coming weeks and months, I will be knocking doors; from Yates Ford and McCoart to Antietam and Springwoods, and everything in between! I want to hear from the residents of Occoquan. I want to build a vision together. This is a people-driven campaign; built on grassroots organizing and a passionate belief that everyone should have a seat at the table.
We're fighting for our future, we're fighting for a better and brighter tomorrow for all, and we’re fighting for a strong vision that leads us well into the next decade. I ask you to join me in this fight, I'm asking for you to be a part of this campaign, and I'm asking for your vote in 2019! Let’s make history together!”
